Born in North Bay, Ontario, Nicholas Cangiano came to Montreal to immerse himself in a growing diverse music scene and develop his sound. Playing music from a young age and eventually learning to play guitar as well as record songs in his bedroom when he was 15, he started on a path of experimentation and exploration into different styles, techniques, and presentations of music, dedicated to the "DIY" approach. Soon after, he discovered the world of live looping and gravitated towards the most immediate and intimate setting to share his music; the streets.
From playing in the metros and side streets of Montreal his first year in the city, to playing for thousands a day in the squares and cobblestone streets of Old Montreal a year later, Cangiano became a fully realized one man show, layering his unique vocal and lead guitar style over loops of catchy percussion arrangements, bass riffs, and bouncy guitar progressions. At the same time he was continuing to develop his self recording technique in his bedroom studio nestled above the streets of the Old Port. In early 2020 he released his jazz influenced pop-rock EP entitled "Lonely Paradise" and followed it up with the dynamic multi-genre LP, "Makeshift Vacation". With new music on the way his second full length album is set to be released in the summer of 2021.
